Linc Housing Celebrates 99th and 100th Affordable Communities

Linc Housing marked a major milestone this month with groundbreakings for the 99th and 100th affordable housing communities we have developed.

In Eureka, we started construction on our 99th development — a 90-apartment, scattered-site community built across three city-owned parcels in the downtown area. Designed for families earning 30–55% of the area median income, these homes will account for more than 25% of the City of Eureka’s affordable housing goal. The three buildings include community rooms, landscaped courtyards, and a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes.

“This development is more than just new buildings; it’s about restoring hope and opportunity for Eureka’s working families,” said Eureka Mayor Kim Bergel. “By prioritizing homes for those who need them most, we’re building a stronger, more resilient city that reflects our shared values and long-term vision for housing security and community well-being.”

Rebecca Clark, Linc’s CEO, added, “In addition to bringing 90 new homes to Eureka, this development includes more than $9 million in investment from the State of California for public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and critical infrastructure citywide. It has been a long journey with our partners at the City of Eureka, and Linc appreciates their commitment to housing solutions that contribute to the overall wellbeing of the community.” [Read more about Eureka]

A month later in Belmont, we broke ground on The Corners at Belmont, a 37-home affordable and supportive housing community for families and individuals earning 30-80% of the area median income, including people who have experienced homelessness. The development will transform two formerly vacant, city-owned lots in downtown Belmont into 18 one-bedroom, 9 two-bedroom, and 10 three-bedroom apartments.

“The Corners at Belmont is a meaningful milestone for Linc,” said Clark. “It’s our 100th community and part of more than 10,000 homes we’ve created across California. Each development is a step toward our vision of a state where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to live.”

Together, these developments represent more than just new housing — they reflect our enduring commitment to building communities where individuals and families can thrive. As construction moves forward, Linc will continue to partner with local governments, funders, and community members to create lasting impact — one home, one neighborhood, and one opportunity at a time.
