Welcome Home
"Because of my home, I have
a lot of goals and plans for my future." - Tammy
Welcome Home is Linc's program that's provided bedding, housewares, food, and toiletries for more than 600 of our
new residents transitioning out of homelessness.

After opening one of L.A. County's early supportive housing communities in 2011, Linc realized that these new residents often arrived at their new home without even a pillow or toothbrush. Our Welcome Home program was created
so the community could help provide the necessities
that would make their new residence a place where
they can settle in and thrive.

WHAT WE'RE DOING

In 2022, Linc opened 323 new apartments for unhoused families, veterans, foster youth, and seniors in Echo Park, Inglewood, LA Puente, South Whittier and Watts, and transformed a motel in Anaheim.

To help Welcome Home continue in 2023, Linc needs your support for 393 more homes:
  • Los Angeles: 126 apts for homeless families; acquisition/rehab
  • Van Nuys: 34 apts for homeless families; acquisition/rehab
  • Wilmington: 55 apts for homeless seniors; new construction
  • Long Beach: 178 hotel rooms converting to apartments for homeless families

How you can help

Your generous donation to Welcome Home will provide the bed, bath, kitchen essentials,
and food to make every new resident's apartment a home and give them a foundation for positive transformation.

Your gift in ANY amount is important.

$400 provides a “Get Started Package” for one new
veteran, family, foster youth or senior resident.

Thanks to our Partners who supported the Welcome Home program in 2022!

Make Welcome Home the focus of your next corporate volunteer activity or holiday gift giving effort!

Not only is Welcome Home a worthy sponsorship activity, it is also a great opportunity for volunteering.

Service clubs and corporations may collect new housewares, bedding, or toiletries for the apartments. Sponsors can also organize a group of volunteers for a Welcome Home day when we unpack, organize, and furnish apartments with Welcome Home packages of bed, bath, and kitchen essentials at a new Linc community.
