About

The Nightingale creates 30 affordable apartments in a supportive housing community for Los Angeles County Department of Health Services clients who have experienced homelessness.

Located in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood of unincorporated Los Angeles County, the four-story building has 29 one-bedroom units reserved for individuals who have experienced homelessness. Residents receive wraparound intensive supportive services from The People Concern and additional resident programs from Linc.

Community areas include multi-purpose space to host a variety of resident programs, a computer lab, and private meeting rooms for service providers and case managers. Resident services focus on housing stability and creating a community of support. They include life skills workshops, gardening, bingo, intro to computers, food bank distribution, sustainability workshops, and healthy cooking classes.

Our resident services coordinator facilitates programs including educational workshops, food bank distribution, sustainability workshops, bingo, computer classes, and social events.
