LINC HOUSING CORPORATION LAUNCHES BI-WEEKLY PODCAST
Notes from the Housing Studio Focuses on Affordable Housing Issues
LONG BEACH, Calif., (April 27, 2006) LINC Housing Corporation (LINC),
a nonprofit developer of affordable homes for seniors and families throughout
California, today announced the launch of its bi-weekly podcast. Notes
from the Housing Studio will feature reports on affordable housing news,
discussions with industry experts covering topical issues from a housing
perspectives, and information aimed at de- mystifying housing
policy.
We want to be a resource for the industry as well as those who are
interested in learning more about how affordable housing is an integral part
of successful communities, said Hunter L. Johnson, president of LINC.
Podcasting is gaining popularity quickly. We see this medium as an
opportunity to help raise awareness about the most recent developments in
housing an important issue that affects every Californian in ways many
dont even realize.
The podcast series kicks-off today with the first episode, Top Housing
Issues in 2006. Special guest G. Allan Kingston, president and CEO of
Century Housing Corporation and an industry visionary, talks with Johnson about
top priorities in the industry for 2006. Other upcoming episodes will highlight
employer assisted housing, the Kelo Decision, smart growth and permanent funding
sources for affordable housing.
