LINC Housing Announces Addition of James Aliberti as Senior Vice President

LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 11, 2019 — LINC Housing welcomes James Aliberti as senior vice president, a new position that will help LINC continue to expand its work to improve communities by increasing the supply of affordable and supportive housing in California.

"Jim brings a wealth of experience that will broaden LINC’s horizons as we look to further our impact on the housing crisis in our state,” said Rebecca Clark, LINC's president and CEO. "His talent is only matched by his passion for helping people underserved by the real estate market. We are so very pleased to add Jim to our LINC team."

Aliberti oversees LINC Housing’s asset management team, human resources, and operations. His expertise spans tax credit financing, market-rate housing, Section 8, distressed properties, new construction, rehabilitation, financial analysis, contract negotiations, and best practices in asset management. His work has included successes in turning around distressed multifamily properties, repositioning of assets, employee motivation, and bottom-line operations.

"It's been frustrating to see the housing crisis escalate, and I'm relieved to see that our elected officials and our communities are making housing a priority ," said Aliberti. "It's great to be at a mission-driven company with a solid track record of building housing for those who need it most. My goal is to ensure that LINC's properties are operating efficiently so we can expand our capacity to build even more."

Prior to joining LINC, Aliberti served as president of the Property Management Division for Interstate Equities Corporation, a private REIT based in the Bay Area. As senior vice president of the California and Arizona region for Winn Residential, he was responsible for more than 10,700 units of market-rate and affordable housing. Aliberti's extensive experience includes 15 years with National Community Renaissance in the role of senior vice president of property management, overseeing a multi-state portfolio and staff of 275.

Aliberti is a graduate of Whittier College with a degree in political science. He serves on the board of directors for the Inland Empire division of the California Apartment Association and has served as president. He also holds tax credit and Fair Housing certifications and has been a presenter at industry conferences at both the local and national level.
