LINC Cares Volunteer Opportunities
 

Position: Youth Education Volunteer

Objectives: Keep kids safe, help working families improve their students’ academic progress and provide enjoyable recreational activities to the youth in our communities

Reports to: Resident Services Coordinator (RSC)

Major Responsibilities:
•   Build relationships and trust with parents, students and property management
•   With the guidance of RSC assist in:
 •  Set up & clean up of facility
 •  Provide homework support
 •  Organize recreation, computer and arts & crafts activities
 •  Monitor student behavior
 •  Mentor and be a positive role model
•   Community outreach and marketing for LINC Cares programs
•   This position requires the volunteer to supervise minors
Qualifications:
•   Previous experience in facilitating activities for school age children is welcome, but not necessary
•   Volunteers must:
•   Be at least 16 years of age
(exceptions to be made at Volunteer Coordinators discretion)
•   Be free of felony conviction
•   Possess enthusiasm, patience, a sense of fun, concern for safety and a love of children
•   Communicate well with diverse populations
Requirements:
•   Complete all required enrollment documents
•   Attend volunteer orientation
•   Comply with terms found in all LINC volunteer policy
•   Dress modestly casual

 
Frequency/Time: Minimum of one day / three hours per week
