Objectives: Keep kids safe, help working families improve their
students academic progress and provide enjoyable recreational activities to
the youth in our communities
Reports to: Resident Services Coordinator (RSC)
Major Responsibilities:
Build relationships and trust with parents, students and property management
With the guidance of RSC assist in:
Set up & clean up of facility
Provide homework support
Organize recreation, computer and arts & crafts activities
Monitor student behavior
Mentor and be a positive role model
Community outreach and marketing for LINC Cares programs
This position requires the volunteer to supervise minors
Qualifications:
Previous experience in facilitating activities for school age children is welcome, but not necessary
Volunteers must:
Be at least 16 years of age
(exceptions to be made at Volunteer Coordinators discretion)
Be free of felony conviction
Possess enthusiasm, patience, a sense of fun, concern for safety and a love of children
Communicate well with diverse populations
Requirements:
Complete all required enrollment documents
Attend volunteer orientation
Comply with terms found in all LINC volunteer policy
Dress modestly casual
Frequency/Time: Minimum of one day / three hours per week
