LINC Cares Volunteer Opportunities
 

Position: Senior Health Volunteer

Objective: Sustain the physical and mental health of seniors so as to improve their quality of life and further their ability to live independently

Reports to: Resident Service Coordinator (RSC)

Major Responsibilities:
•   Build relationships and trust with residents and property management
•   Review all necessary material prior to services
•   Purchase needed materials and submit expense reports for reimbursement / notify RSC of supplies needed
•   Set-up and clean-up of program space
•   Facilitate program activities
•   Set a good example by being punctual, enthusiastic and helpful
•   Perform community outreach and marketing for LINC Cares programs
•   Report on program outcomes to RSC
Qualifications:
•   Volunteers must:
•   Be at least 16 years of age (exceptions to be made at Volunteer Resource Managers discretion)
•   Be free of felony conviction
•   Possess enthusiasm, patience, a sense of fun and concern for safety
•   Communicate well with diverse and senior populations
All volunteer’s who drive as part of their service (this excludes transportation from home to LINC properties) are required to maintain proof of automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license
Requirements:
•   Complete all required enrollment documents
•   Attend volunteer orientation
•   Comply with terms found in all LINC volunteer policy
•   Dress modestly casual

Frequency/Time: Minimum of one day / two hours per week
