Jodie Newbery - Director

 
Jodie Newbery is the Program and Policy Advisor of Portfolio Management for the Office of the Superintendent, Los Angeles Unified School District. There she implements a strategic accountability initiative to create and support quality schools.

Previously, Jodie was senior manager of Los Angeles school development and the Walton Family Foundation High Quality Charter Grant for the California Charter Schools Association. Jodie also taught Elementary school in the New York City public school system and conducted strategic evaluations and planning sessions for New York City charter schools. Jodie has presented at national, state and local conferences on topics including: school evaluation metrics, performance management and strategic replications. Jodie holds a M.S. in Elementary Education from Mercy College and a B.A. in Latin American studies and Political Science from the University of Chicago.
