Nina’s work experience includes management, design, and marketing in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Her years in the manufacturing sector included product creation and packaging, management of creative staff, account executive to national chains, contract negotiation for licensed properties, advertising, and trade show management. She opened her own firm, Nina Dooley Design, in the early 1990’s serving the design and marketing needs of a portfolio of for-profit clients in the health, banking, legal, toy, and housewares industries. After honing her writing, fund raising, and management skills doing volunteer work for several local charities, Nina added nonprofits to her list of clients, gradually shifting her business concentration toward the causes of the homeless, the arts, and affordable housing.

Nina is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles and has a Certificate in Fund Raising and Institutional Development from UCLA Extension. She is a graduate of the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate, where she was educated by leaders in the industry. Her family background, which includes commercial construction as well as leadership in the cause of fair housing, fuels her enthusiasm for LINC’s mission and has served her well in addressing the intense need for affordable housing in California.

Nina and husband, Craig, and daughter, Erin, enjoy a lively home life that includes cooking for family and friends, baking, gardening, camping and rooting for the high school Cross Country and Track teams. They enjoy volunteering at Shared Bread, a homeless meal program Nina and Craig helped start 18 years ago, as well as participating in home construction projects that help others in need.
