Karen Maeshima oversees all aspects of accounting, asset management, resident services, and
general corporate operations such as IT and human resources. Karen assists in the implementation
of effective financial strategies and reports for LINC, its related affiliates, and its portfolio
of affordable housing assets. She oversees LINC’s accounting operations, including budgeting,
auditing and tax preparation, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and financial
reporting. Karen also oversees the pre-development and construction draw processes for housing
development, as well as asset management of LINC’s portfolio of 40+ properties including
property management, financial performance, budgeting, and reporting.

Karen brings a unique perspective and expertise to her work at LINC. She is a Big Four Certified
Public Accountant from PricewaterhouseCoopers who also has an extensive background in real estate
investment and affordable housing finance. As Assistant Vice President of Investments with
Weyerhaeuser Venture Company, Karen managed a sizeable portfolio of real estate investments,
implementing innovative methods of financial modeling and analysis to maximize revenues through
property sales. As Chief Financial Officer for Coastal Equities, Inc., She created new methods of
account monitoring that produced tangible improvements to the process of securing financing for
real estate acquisitions.
Karen is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s
degree in economics.
Karen is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking and skiing with her husband
and children.
