Gabriela Cook
Asset Manager

As an Asset Manager, Gabriela is responsible for overseeing the physical, administrative and financial performance of LINC’s affordable housing portfolio while maintaining close relationships with lenders, investors, and property management firms in order to ensure that our projects meet all program requirements.

Gabriela joins LINC with more than 15 years experience in the affordable housing industry. She has held positions as an apartment manager and property supervisor for conventional, tax credit, and Section 8 housing with Levine Management Group, where she learned first hand the specific aspects of each type of housing. While working on the property management side, she became an occupancy compliance specialist, acquiring tangible leasing and recertification experience. Gabriela had the opportunity to apply this knowledge base when she established the compliance department for Los Angeles Community Design Center’s newly formed property management company, Design Center Housing Services.

Subsequently, she became a compliance auditor and analyst for tax credit syndicator, Edison Capital. Soon after, she transitioned to the asset management department at Edison Capital where she deepened her knowledge of key real estate variables and acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the different sides of the industry.

Gabriela is currently finishing a double major in Spanish and Translation and Interpretation Services at California State University, Long Beach. She also has French and Spanish degrees from her native country of Argentina. Additionally, she holds HCCP, NCP, TaCCS and HUD Subsidized Multifamily Housing Occupancy Certifications. Gabriela, her husband Jerome, and two year-old daughter Sofia enjoy family and outdoor activities.
