Crystal Johnson is the LINC Cares Resident Services Coordinator for families at the Arbor
Village Apartments in San Diego. She plans programs and activities to meet the needs of
the children and families who live in the community, enhancing their quality of life. As
the after-school program facilitator, she provides a nurturing atmosphere with homework
help, computer assistance, healthy living curriculum, and arts and crafts as well as
community activities available for all 112 families. Crystal also supervises volunteers
that work with the children and families of Arbor Village.

A student at Southwestern College, Crystal is completing her AA degree in child development.
It is a long time goal of Crystal’s to work with young children in her community. She
works hard to make learning as fun as possible in everyday life.
Crystal’s family is an important part of her life and she credits many of her
achievements to their love and support. She also loves music and dancing as forms of
creative expression and often uses songs to communicate with her friends
and family.
