Another win! Mosaic Gardens at Westlake received the 2019 Los Angeles Business Council Architectural Award of Excellence in the “Housing” category. This award honors outstanding projects that significantly enhance the Los Angeles community’s urban environment while serving as a reminder of the nexus between social issues and physical infrastructure.

Judges for PCBC’s 2019 Gold Nugget Awards have named LINC Housing’s Mosaic Gardens at Westlake the Grand Award winner (Best Affordable Housing Community – 60 Du/Acre or More) in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence throughout the United States and internationally. LINC also earned Merit honors for The Spark at Midtown, which was honored for Best On-the-Boards Affordable Community.

Mosaic Gardens at Westlake was one of the 2019 American Institute of Architects Los Angeles Residential Architecture “Honor” Award Recipients in the “Affordable Housing” category, the highest award available. Read more about the AIA|LA winners.

LINC Housing’s Mosaic Gardens at Pomona was honored with two sustainability awards in 2018. USGBC-­‐ LA awarded the 46-­‐unit community with its Sustainable Innovations Award in the Social Equity Category for demonstrated excellence in design and construction. The Building Industry Association, Baldy View (BIA BV) also awarded Mosaic Gardens at Pomona the Southern California Edison Energy Efficiency Award, which is awarded to builders who create remarkable examples of sustainable housing.
In November 2018, Director of Housing Development Monica Mejia was honored by the Building Industry Association Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter (BIA-­‐LAV) with the Lynn Jacobs Memorial Affordable Housing Award. This award is given each year to a BIA member who acts as a mentor, helps Californians in their quest for affordable housing, and provides guidance to the building industry.

LINC Housing’s Mosaic Garden at Westlake received Multi-Family Development of the Year as part of Southern California Association of NonProfit Housing’s 2018 Homes Within Reach Awards. This affordable and supportive housing community was recognized for combining stunning architecture, spacious common areas, and comprehensive services for seniors, families, and those who have experienced homelessness.


In December 2017, LINC Housing was honored with the fourth annual Hanley Award for Community Service in Sustainability from the Hanley Foundation and Hanley Wood. The award, with its $25,000 grant, recognizes community-based and nonprofit organizations working to advance sustainability and environmental awareness. LINC's work is highlighted in the December 2017 issue of Hanley Wood's Builder magazine.

Hunter L. Johnson of LINC Housing Corporation Receives Regional Champion Award from the Southern California Association of Governments.


Dorado Senior Apartments, a 148-unit apartment community for low-income seniors in Buena Park, received the Grand Award as the nation’s most outstanding affordable housing community at the recent Multifamily Executive Awards held in Las Vegas.

LINC Housing makes the Top 50 in the Nation... Owners and Developers list in Affordable Housing Finance Magazine! LINC is honored to be counted among the nation’s top affordable housing owners and developers.

LINC Housing earned the 2002 “Award of Excellence” given by the California Redevelopment Association for its mixed use site SEASONS Senior Apartments at Ontario Gateway Plaza.

LINC’s SEASONS at Redondo Beach was featured as a case study in the Urban Land Institute’s, Housing for Seniors: Developing Successful Projects by Douglas R. Porter and Susan B. Brecht.


LINC Housing earned the 1999 “SAGE Award” from the Senior Housing Council for SEASONS at Ontario Gateway Plaza. In 2001, LINC’s SEASONS at the Hoover, a historic redevelopment and senior housing property in Whittier was awarded the “SAGE Project of the Year.”

LINC was awarded the Best of Senior Housing Gold Achievement Award for a Mixed Use Site in 2001 for SEASONS at Ontario Gateway Plaza from the National Council on Senior Housing. In 2002, SEASONS at the Hoover earned both the Gold Seal Award for Affordable Senior Housing and the Judges’ Innovation Award. In 2004, SEASONS at Miraflores received the Silver Achievement Award for Active Adult Small Communities.
